Richard Abraham

Finance Manager


Richard was born in 1953, and spent some early years in Kenya. He was educated in the UK in Worthing and at Christ Church, Oxford University, receiving a MA in Modern and Medieval European Languages and Literature (French and German). He then qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst and Young in London, subsequently working in internal audit for three years travelling the world from Paris to Europe, Australia, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, and the USA.

Richard returned to UK and worked in the healthcare and insurance sectors. He spent 2008 in Tanzania at a small UK-based NGO, and has worked in the NGO world ever since. He's held positions with WaterAid, PRI, and then Mango (now Humentum following the merger of Mango with InsideNGO and LINGOs) , all jobs he found through Mango as Richard was a member of Mango’s register for many years!

Richard married his wife Bettina in 2013. They met through the running club, and have both run the London Marathon amongst others. They live in the Cotswolds in an old stone cottage, which they refurbished, with two cats and a dog.

My hobbies are riding, gardening and doing crosswords!
