The International Finance Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive financial management support to all of Living Water’s affiliate field offices. This role is a key leader within the organization and ensures compliance of and proper roll out its internal policies and procedures, GAAP requirements and donor/grant reporting requirements through detailed financial review and training.  


  • Coordinate and review the monthly financials of all affiliate countries ensuring their integrity and compliance with GAAP and all other stakeholder and donor requirements
  • Provide training for the Regional Finance Managers and Affiliate Finance Managers on all relevant policies and procedures and GAAP
  • Manage the annual international budget process and ensure that budgets are properly prepared and deadlines are met
  • Lead the finance grant function, including review of budget proposals, budget adjustments, and preparation and review of grant financial reporting.
  • Assist updating of affiliate budgets/targets through budget adjustments ensuring that all budgets in the financial systems are accurate and updated timely. 
  • Manage the external audit process for the affiliates interfacing with Finance Managers and Country Directors as needed
  • Lead and create response plans to any external/internal findings of fraud or other findings from the external/internal audit process  
  • Conduct country office reviews ensuring compliance with Field Finance Manual, Quality Standards and other accounting best practices
  • Ensures the appropriate tracking of cash disbursement to affiliates
  • Confirms appropriate insurance coverages is maintained in all affiliate offices
  • Analyze monthly financial and operation results and provide value added reporting to key stakeholders
  • Responsible for ensuring proper variance analysis of affiliate books and records
  • Ensure all affiliate statutory tax and financial reporting requirements are properly satisfied
  • Build and maintain a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and formulation of corporate-wide Finance policies, procedures, systems, and initiatives
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as requested


  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in accounting;
  • International and/or NGO accounting experience preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required;
  • CPA, MBA or Graduate Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Proficient in accounting systems (Quickbooks)
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications;
  • Management experience is a plus;
