Position Summary

The Social Media Manager is a highly motivated, creative individual with a proven track record of  mobilizing constituents and audiences across social media channels. The person in this position will manage all of Project HOPE’s social media channels, creating and marketing quality content to supporters in an effort to build our online community, drive engagement, and ultimately convert fans into donors. A successful candidate will know how to communicate Project HOPE’s brand in a positive, authentic way that will attract today’s modern, hyper-connected donors.

Description

The Social Media Manager is a highly motivated, creative individual with a proven track record of  mobilizing constituents and audiences across social media channels. The person in this position will manage all of Project HOPE’s social media channels, creating and marketing quality content to supporters in an effort to build our online community, drive engagement, and ultimately convert fans into donors. A successful candidate will know how to communicate Project HOPE’s brand in a positive, authentic way that will attract today’s modern, hyper-connected donors.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Manage day-to-day social media engagement, including but not limited to:
    • Create, curate, publish content to organization’s social media channels (copy, graphics, images, video)
    • Monitor, listen, and respond to social supporters
    • Analyze data analytics and optimize campaigns accordingly
  • Develop effective content strategy for organization’s target audience that promotes community growth, leads, and conversions
  • Develop comprehensive social media marketing strategy, including defining key performance indicators
  • Plan and execute an audience testing strategy
  • Maintain brand alignment and consistency across all social channels
  • Create a strategy for engaging social media influencers
  • Plan social media analytics strategy, creating and presenting reports on a weekly basis
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Analyze campaigns and utilize insights to optimize across social media and digital fundraising
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media campaigns.
  • Occasional travel between Project HOPE offices.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years’ experience in social media, content creation, PR, advertising, marketing for international organizations, preferably in the non-profit space.
  • Knowledge and experience in traditional marketing. Marketing degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrates creativity and expertise in social media marketing
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application.
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side; able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Excellent writing and language skills.
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
  • Excels at building and maintaining online supporter and donor relationships.
  • Practices superior time management.
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees.
  • Proficiency in SEO strategy, including keyword research and Google Analytics.
  • Experience with WordPress.
  • Demonstrates winning social customer service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution.
  • Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.

Education
