Skills and experience

Edson is the Founder and Director of Teoria da Prática in Brazil and Canada and is passionate about project management. He has headed up PM4NGOs since 2015, leading the process of developing the Program DPro Guide and the Project DPro – PMD Pro 2nd Edition. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, an MBA in Project Management, and a post-graduate certificate in Distance Learning.

Edson has over 15 years of experience in the development sector. He has worked at community-based organizations and international NGOs (non-profit organizations), like ChildFund, World Vision, and Etica Fairtrade. “I have been involved in training and developing the PMD Pro since the very first training group in Brazil. I truly believe that we must empower professionals by disseminating project management tools and techniques to community-based organizations. On the other hand, and most importantly, it is from the community that we will learn how and which of these techniques and tools really work.”
