With a career dedicated to forging connections across private, public, and social sectors, she drives initiatives toward meaningful impact.

As Managing Director at GoodCitizen, Jailan leads executive searches for social sector organizations, ensuring they secure exceptional leaders to drive progress. Previously, as CEO at RefuSHE, an NGO operating in Kenya, she orchestrated a transformative leadership transition to enhance strategic decision-making, emphasizing the importance of local leadership for sustainable impact. Jailan’s commitment to proximity in leadership extends to her roles on the boards of African Visionary Fund and Yamba Malawi.

With expertise in capacity building and strategy development, Jailan has assessed and supported numerous nonprofits and social enterprises. Her work with PYXERA Global and Taproot Foundation facilitated impactful corporate social responsibility programs for Fortune 500 companies across 20+ countries.
Jailan holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from The George Washington University and began her career by developing sustainable tourism strategies in Egypt, Lebanon, Jamaica, and Morocco. Through her journey, she’s continuously propelled by the belief that collective action and strategic partnerships are essential for creating positive change in our world.
