A shared foundation for collective action
The Blueprint grew from more than a year of collective sensemaking, consultation and action with Kenyan health civil society, convened by Health NGOs Network (HENNET) with Humentum.
We are sharing this Blueprint to strengthen a connected, credible, and independent health civil society that works across organisational boundaries, strengthens community voice, and brings collective influence to shaping an equitable and accountable health system.

Inside the Blueprint:
- Four priorities for collective action, from representation to coordination
- What civil society must protect, and what needs to evolve
- Shared commitments for how organisations work together
- Practical starting points already being tested (6–9 month actions)
The Blueprint is not a comprehensive sector strategy or finished implementation plan. It provides shared direction from which more specific action can grow.

Short on time? Start with this quick overview
The overview is a 13-slide summary of the Blueprint’s four priorities, the shifts driving them, and the practical next steps already underway through the Civil Society Roadmap to Resilience Kenya (CSO R2R-Ke). It’s a good place to start if you’re short on time or want the key points before reading the full report — you’ll still get a clear picture of what’s changing and where collective action can make the biggest difference.
