Weaving Resilience Project

Maximize your impact. Better serve your communities.

In partnership with the Ford Foundation Southern Africa, Humentum is thrilled to announce the opportunity for grassroots black-led, women-led, and disability-led (BWD) organizations in the Southern Africa Region to apply for no-cost training and consultancy support.

The Weaving Resilience Initiative addresses the challenges faced by civil society in Southern Africa, which has been only exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. BWD organizations who strive to improve the lives of civil society may already be grappling with funding shortfalls, have now become even more vulnerable. So, where can change be made?

Through this initiative, we help your organization with two pivotal areas: financial resilience/sustainability and governance. With strengthened leadership and management capacity, your ability to navigate challenges effectively will increase and you can focus on really matters – better serving your communities.

Our Core Focus Areas

How It Works

You’ll start by completing a short assessment that determines your eligibility and identifies your organization’s strengths and needs. Then, you’ll start on your pathway, outlined below. All eligible organizations have access to our community of practice  – a space for senior leaders to engage with like-minded peers and build organizational resiliency.

Eligibility

We invite all grassroots black-led, women-led, and disability-led (BWD) organizations in the Southern Africa Region to apply. If your organization doesn’t qualify, we offer other free resources you can access below.
