What happens when a handful of training, capacity building, and professional development professionals from every corner of the planet come together to build their training design and delivery skill set?
In a few weeks, we’ll know the answer to this question. I will be leading Humentum’s Presentation and Training Skills, a six-week course, completely online, designed to bring together dedicated professionals who have some presentation experience and are dedicated to honing their craft.
This course was piloted earlier this year, and participants responded enthusiastically, calling the materials “excellent and applicable.” They were impressed by the value they found in learning via an online platform and found the interaction with other participants particularly “amazing.” This is not a course that is designed for participants to learn passively. When you enroll in this course, you won’t just be exposed to my facilitation; this course is an experience that is maximized by the interaction among each student who enrolls.
Overall, this course is intended to provide professionals who have a foundation in training or presenting – whether you took the Humentum Training of Trainers course or simply have a few presentations under your belt. We’ll take that foundation and layer formal training design, visual design, and presentation delivery skills on top.
As a course facilitator, this is such a fun project to work on. There are a host of participants from around the world who bring their own unique experiences, perspectives, and cultural considerations into weekly assignments. It’s a privilege to be able to see what the participants produce on an individual level, weigh in on small group conversations, and facilitate large group online discussions.
If this is something you’re interested in, I’d love to have you join us in this next course.
