Identifying your strengths and opportunities as a modern leader are essential to the success of your career and those you lead. Starting with a self-assessment, we’ll explore how performance patterns and mindset influence productivity. You will build skills in empathetic listening, and quality questioning. Additionally, you will tackle common leadership challenges and build techniques for constructive feedback and conflict management.
This course emphasizes diverse leadership styles, focusing on a coaching approach that fosters your individual aspirations and those of your team. You’ll learn about the five coaching conditions for success and practice structuring coaching conversations to engage others effectively.
The course concludes with a focus on the application of coaching techniques in your organization, with stakeholders and partners, and the wider community. By the end, you will be equipped with practical coaching skills to strengthen yourself and others, driving meaningful change and sustainable impact in your leadership journey.

Humentum’s practical trainings puts the learner first. Our expert facilitators draw on their own sector and subject-specific knowledge for a worthwhile and enjoyable learner experience. They will share relevant tools, techniques and insights that are immediately transferrable to your own work. You are also actively encouraged to engage in collaborative learning through discussions and hands-on group work.
Assignments throughout the course will help you gain clarity around how to become more productive and self-aware. Additionally, you will have opportunities to practice your new coaching skills and immediately apply what you’ve learned. You will be paired with an Accountability Partner, a peer taking the course, and will meet weekly for one hour to deepen your learning and practice through a guided discussion.
The course consists of six live sessions lasting 120 minutes. We estimate a weekly time commitment of approximately four hours, which may vary based on your learning pace and prior experience. By the end of the six weeks, you will have tools and coaching techniques you can continue using the rest of your leadership career. After successful completion of the course, you can choose to join the Alumni Group, led by Torrey Peace, for continued support.
