Description

More than just going through the motions for donor compliance, a strong procurement process is the foundation for building donor trust, using funding efficiently, minimizing risk, and most of all — delivering results.

Join us to learn and discuss the practical considerations for procurement throughout the USAID project lifecycle including procedures, systems, ethics, and standards. We’ll start by covering efficient ways to understand all aspects of program needs. Then, each module focuses on the balance between effective program delivery and risk management.

What you will learn

  • Plan procurement based on programmatic needs
  • Comply with USAID requirements, including full and open competition, prior approvals, waivers, and restrictions on goods and services
  • Navigate through each of the key steps including specifications of goods; bid requests and evaluations; vendor selection; quality; and documentation
  • Quickly adapt to change, including budget reductions, revised specifications, price fluctuations, and disasters
  • Identify and reduce risks
