Skills and experience

Christine Balatbat brings more than 15 years of experience in international development, working in grants, contracts, and compliance for both non-profits and private sectors. Her work includes broad experience in program management with Chemonics on long-term assignments in Pakistan and Afghanistan on USAID-funded contracts as the Director of Technical Programs, Grants, Contracts, and Procurement for the Pakistan FIRMs Project and the Financial Access for Investing in the Development of Afghanistan Project.

Christine most recently served as the Director of Compliance for URC, where she was responsible for ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across program activities and the organization. As the Principal for The Welter Group, LLC, Christine provides consulting services to help clients mitigate the challenges and risks with smart and practical solutions, including training on behalf of Humentum on USAID Rules and Regulations and Contracts.
