That’s right, the Global Learning Forum (GLF) is right around the corner. The GLF is Humentum’s two-day online conference where learning & development professionals in the nonprofit sector make meaningful connections and share solutions, challenges, and successes. The GLF is produced and hosted by the Humentum Learning Services team (HLS), and it’s a core benefit of being an LMS subscriber. This year it’s taking place on June 7 & 8, 2022.

One of my favorite parts of my job is checking in with the organizations we support through our HLS partnership to see what they’ve been working on over the last year while seeking great sessions for the GLF. Our subscribers are always willing to share their wins as well as their failures. Then we come together to learn from each other and help solve the issues.

As organizations worldwide begin to dip their toe into the going-back-to-the-office pond, learning and development (L&D) teams are thinking about how to support them. When so many of our learning programs have shifted to and settled online, we find ourselves being asked to develop hybrid training. Through it all, our L&D community has developed innovative responses to every new need.

Examples of innovation in L&D over the past year: World Vision US moved its onboarding to a successful, totally virtual program. Helen Keller International rapidly developed microlearning. Mercy Corps learned whether online learning really is “better” than in-person training. We’ll hear from all these organizations at the GLF, where there will be a total of 12 micro-sessions from nonprofit L&D teams. We’ll also present a panel discussion with some of our incredible HLS partners – leading eLearning companies Skillsoft, Cegos, Nomadic Learning and Speexx – who will share how they’ve managed to stay relevant and ahead of the ever-changing trends in this industry.

As a warmup for the forum, this week, we’ll be running a series of blog posts that highlight the innovative projects and thinking our subscribers have been working on. Be sure to follow along this week and hear from L&D leaders at FHI360, Ipas, United States Insititue of Peace, and more. These projects all demonstrate how learning can be transformational – changing how people, teams, and organizations work.

If you want to learn even more and network and connect with some of the most talented Learning and Development professionals on the planet, we invite you to join us at the Global Learning Forum; Learning that Transforms. We’ve opened registration to all those working in Learning and Development this year, not just Humentum subscribers!
