Skills and experience

Andrea Moffat is an independent Leadership and Management Consultant with experience across the public, private and voluntary sectors who has been in consultancy for some 25+ years. A Chartered Fellow and active member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), at the branch and national levels across membership services and upgrading, qualifications, continuous professional development, and program delivery, Andrea is committed to promoting the HR and management professions.

Andrea has a broad portfolio but specializes in organizational strategy development, organization design, performance management & competencies, management & leadership development, P=project management, and equality of opportunity and diversity. Inevitably all these interventions involve leading change as an external consultant, and Andrea has a Certificate in Leading Change through Action Research from the University of Gloucestershire. This study has added value to Andrea’s approach to her clients and blends well with the demands of leading programs and projects that require her to work with various stakeholder groups.

Andrea has a passion for training people to learn, more sustainable than training people to be trained. This philosophy lies at the core of her experience in learning and development, and she describes herself as being invited to intervene in the life of a whole organization, a department or an individual, and out of this comes organizational and personal learning. She is described as a dynamic, enthusiastic, and energetic yet focused trainer. She believes in working with her clients’ cultures and yet is also able to challenge appropriately and sensitively based on the sound relationships she builds with them, some of which have now endured more than 20 years.
