With more than 30 years of experience as a humanitarian worker, Elena is a qualified professional in safeguarding and administrative investigations. Elena has managed and conducted complex SEAH investigations globally with an inclusive and empathetic approach.

Currently, Elena is actively engaged in providing consultancies to various international humanitarian organizations. Her focus areas include case management, investigations, and the design of policies, procedures, and mechanisms related to ethics and behavior in the sector. This role keeps her at the forefront of industry best practices and ensures her advice is always informed and relevant.

Elena is a certified Investigator Qualification Training Scheme facilitator and holds a diploma in criminology.

Elena speaks Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese. Her first language is Italian.

Elena works from Barcelona and travels several times a year for project-related research missions.
