Joyce is a fellow of the global professional accountancy body, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK, a Chartered Public Accountant in Uganda, a social marketer, and an activist with more than 18 years’ experience working in the NGO sector. She was formerly the Managing Director (MD) of the Uganda Health Marketing Group (UHMG), a leading social marketing organization/NGO dedicated to improving the quality of life for Ugandans by providing superior and affordable health care solutions. Before holding the post of MD, she served for five years as the director of finance and investment, laying the foundation for a sustainable organization. Prior to UHMG, Joyce worked with the Eastern African Sub-regional Support Initiative for the Advancement of Women (EASSI), Save the Children, and PwC.

Joyce serves on a number of boards of directors, including Humentum’s. She is currently the chairperson of the Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE), the chairperson of the Business Strategy Committee of the Uganda Health Care Federation Board, and founded the Luzira Alliance Sacco, which has over 3,000 members. She previously chaired the ACCA Uganda Members’ Network Panel (2013-2015).

Joyce is married and a mother of three awesome sons.
