Mischa Heeger
Associate Consultant, NetherlandsMischa Heeger has more than 23 years of experience working in international public health and development. As a program manager of international programs in both SRHR and TB, she has worked in over 24 countries including three years of overseas residence. She operationally managed and coordinated four subsequent USAID flagship projects with a total obligation of 800 M USD. Sub-recipient management and navigating the rules and regulations of USAID form an integral part of her expertise, and she places a strong emphasis on the empowerment of local communities and social mobilization.
Since 2020 Mischa works as an independent consultant and trainer, providing organizational capacity assessments, development plans, and capacity building on donor compliance and project-and sub-recipient management to local organizations of USAID funding. Mischa also supports (i)NGO’s in navigating USAID opportunities, proposal development as well as develops and provides training on working with USAID.
Mischa holds an MSc in Sociology, specialized in Organizations and Management. Furthermore, she holds a BA in Gender Studies and studied Latin America culture and languages. She speaks Dutch, English and Spanish.
