Sareta is a senior financial professional with 14 years International NGO experience based in Pretoria, South Africa, and has worked with Humentum, then Mango, since 2004.  Sareta is one of the senior trainers qualified to run Humentum’s Training for Finance Trainers course.  Sareta also works as a financial management consultant, advising NGO finance teams on best practice in financial management and providing training for project staff. She has delivered more than 140 Humentum training courses and undertaken consultancies for NGO staff and local partners in over 20 African countries and other countries in Asia /Pacific.

Sareta received a Financial Accountancy degree at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. She then worked in the UK with commercial accounting firms before moving into the NGO sector in 2003. Sareta was Finance Manager for Save the Children (UK) for the Southern Africa Regional office as well as the South Africa and Lesotho country offices. She also provided assistance and training to other SCUK offices and local partners in the region. She lectured on a part time basis in Accountancy at the Damelin College in South Africa.

Sareta combines her leadership and management skills with her accountancy training and experience, to support organizations strengthen their capacity, financial management and accountability. Sareta has practical experience in auditing, finance and corporate marketing from the NGO, commercial and public sectors.
