Skills and experience

Shindy Ali has more than 24 years of experience in financial management for NGOs, capacity building, and training, including financial management systems, grants management, financial sustainability, financial management for projects, and working and assessing partners. Shindy has worked with Humentum for two years, working in Istanbul, Gaziantep, Sudan, Jordan, Bangkok, Lebanon.

Shindy has also served in many positions throughout his career: chairman of a charity, finance manager in an INGO, grants accountant, management accountant, and program accountant. Shindy also has experience in the value for resources area, mentoring, training, and guiding numerous organizations on different financial management aspects. Overall, this has helped shindy tremendously in his current role as a financial management trainer and consultant for Humentum.

Shindy focuses on results. He provides effective training and consultations, but he also tries to ensure that real, lasting progress is made. He understands there are numerous ways to assess and measure development.
