Event Policies, Terms & Conditions


Course Payment Policy

Payment is due on registration. Single registrations must be paid via credit card at the point of registration. Group bookings can be paid via credit card on registration or via bank transfer following receipt of an invoice after registration. Payment must still be paid to the start of the course in all instances. If participants do not pay before the start of the course, their registration will be cancelled. An individual participant can transfer the registration up to 24 hours before the course starts to a future date should payment be delayed, to avoid cancellation. (Payment will still need to be received prior to the start of the new course date).

Course Attendance Policy

Participation is required to receive the certificate of completion. Course learners must complete all required elements of the course (which could include modules, assignments, or discussions).

Course Cancellation Policy

Any request to cancel or transfer registration must be submitted via email to customerservice@humentum.org.

Cancellations made 7 or more days before start date All Registrations: Will receive a full refund; minus any wire transfer fees if applicable
Cancellations made 24 hours to 7 days before start date Single Registrations: Will receive 50% of their payment as a refund.
Group Bookings are non-refundable after 7 days
Cancellations after start date and no shows Cancellations made on or after the start date of the course, as well as registrants who do not log-in to complete the course during the course duration will forfeit the full registration fee.
Substitutions If you are no longer able to attend, we are happy to allow a transfer of your registration on the same course to another individual, up to 1 day prior to the start date. *Please ensure the substitute participant has the necessary qualifications and background to take part in the course, including any course prerequisites.
Transfers Transfer requests for a future course will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the start of the course.
Changes & Cancellations initiated by Humentum We work hard to avoid changes to planned courses, but occasionally we may have to change the date or cancel scheduled courses. We will automatically transfer you to the next available date. If this does not suit your needs, you are able to self-transfer or self-cancel.

Notice on tax liabilities

Humentum invoices are net of taxes, including withholding tax and VAT, levied in countries outside of the United States. The responsibility for assessment, collection and payment of local and national taxes lies with the customer; Humentum accepts no liability for payment of local taxes due on the services provided. Humentum will apply 6% sales tax for individuals and organization based In Maryland or D.C., USA.  If an organization is exempt from sales tax, the certificate of exemption is to be submitted prior to registration, to avoid a charge of sales tax. Consent for use of image and voice

Attendance at Humentum events constitutes an agreement by the attendee to Humentum’s use and distribution of the attendee’s image and/or voice in photos, video or audio tapes recording during these events.
